II. STREET BIKE / SCOOTER COMPOUNDS:
These feature a consistently high coefficent of friction in all conditions, high and low temperatures, plus limited wear guaranteeing durability and good mileage.
SA/SP/ST compounds:
Specific sintered materials for latest-generation sport bikes. These brake pads are made using special production processes and feature a high coefficient of friction and top performance, even in wet conditions.
SA compound - street bikes:
Brake pad specifically designed for the front wheel.
Important: do not use SA compound for the rear wheel.
Example of code for SA compound: "07SU19SA"
SP compound - street bikes:
Brake pad specifically designed for the rear wheel.
Example of code for SP compound: "07SU17SP"
ST compound - scooter:
Brake pad specifically designed for scooters (front and rear).
Its high coefficient of friction makes it ideal for powerful new-generation scooters.
Example of code for ST compound: "07024ST"
SINTERED BRAKE PADS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR USE ON CALIPERS THAT ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR THIS TYPE OF MATERIAL.
Carbon-ceramic compound:
This has evolved from the previous organic compound thanks to its higher carbon content. This type of material features good durability, good performance hot and cold, wet and dry. It is also less aggressive on the brake disk, which makes it last longer, and is compatible with both steel and cast-iron discs. It is the ideal brake pad for enthusiastic mileage eaters.
TT compound:
Semi-metallic material recommended for off-road applications too. Formulated to work both either in dry, wet or mud conditions.
Example of code for TT compound: "07HO26TT"
III. OFF-ROAD COMPOUNDS:
These sintered materials are designed to guarantee maximum efficiency in various conditions, both hot and cold, and under particular enviromental conditions (water, sand, mud), which also require braking at low disc temperatures. This is why resistance to external agents is extremely important.
SD and SX compounds
Two sintered materials for off-road and supermotard use, formulated to withstand high temperatures and the harshest conditions, particularly in the presence of abrasive agents such as sand, water and mud.
SD compound:
That pad allows more modulated braking.
Example of code for SD compound: "07YA41SD"
SX compound:
That pad has a higher coefficient of friction for more aggressive braking, ideal for supermotard and supercross.
Example of code for TX compound: "07KA17SX"
Tow high-performance brake pads of proven durability in Grand-Prix races.
All the standard materials are TUV homologated.
